Girls' Stampin' Night Out!

Well, I'm 2 1/2 days away from going on vacation. This will be the first family vacation I've been on since the 8th grade I guess. We are going to Gulf Shores with my parents, Edd Scott, and Diane, and my aunt and uncle and their kids and husband, grandchild, and girlfriends. It should be a very fun time. I can hardly wait!

When I get back from vacation, I will be starting my first Stamping club. I'm so very excited about it. It will be held on June 17th at 6:30 at my house. You will be making 10 cards for FREE when you buy $20 worth of products. A lot of the stamping clubs I've heard of, charge $15 to make 10 cards, but in my opinion, it's more fun to make the cards for free and then get something for your $20. That's the way the club I went to did it and I LOVED IT! I've already gotten 3 of the cards ready... I have more work to do! Clubs not only give you a chance to learn new techniques, but it also gives you a chance to build up your supplies a little a time rather than one big order.

I absolutely can NOT wait to get this started. June's club will be a trial run where I can go over what all the club entails. Each month a different person gets to be the hostess. All they have to do is bring a few snacks to my house and they get the hostess benefits! You don't even have to clean your own house for it! (That's what I'm talkin' about) ha ha.

Please let me know if you are interested! My e-mail address is Ames321@aol.com See ya on June 17th!!!

Zoo Time baby!

Diane and Paige! She had so much fun... almost as much fun as I had!
Me, Edd Scott and Diane waiting for Paige to get off of the Merry go round.
Such a cute little guy!
He was so funny! He looked like a cartoon character. He's a true baby momma drama llama!
Paige and Braden checking out the alligators!

Last Saturday, I went with Edd Scott, Diane, her sisters, Debra and Jill, Debra's kids, Paige and Braden, and their mom to the Nashville Zoo! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!! We set out pretty early Saturday morning and stayed until Satuday afternoon. Paige thought everything was "pretty cool". I can't wait to take Lucas. He will absolutely love it! Here are some pics!

Pics from tonight!

A very cute little boy's birthday card!

Ok. So I think I have the picture thing figured out... all except for the last few which decided at the last minute to go sideways... arg. Here are some of the cards we made tonight. The cards that we make at my stamping club will be comparable to these. (Aren't they cute?!?!)

Girl's Night Out Stampin' Club!

So I have been warned that I need to get my blog on... I won't mention any names but Holly said that she would take me off of her blogging buddies if I didn't post something... So, Holly this is for you! =)
Tonight I went to my monthly stamp club and we made 5 new cards that are absolutely adorable. Once I figure out how to post pictures I will put up some pictures of the cards that I've made.
I would also like to get a stamping club started of my own. The one that I go to is once a month. You place a $20 order and you get to make 10 cards for free. There are 12 people who have committed to coming and/or ordering every month. Each month one of the 12 are the hostess. That means, that they bring the goodies and go home with the free stuff! YEAH! I have a few people who have already said that they are interested. I have a feeling once people realize how much fun it is, more people will want to sign up. I LOVE MY STAMP CLUB!
If anyone is interested in joining my "Girls Night Out Stamping Club", I am going to have a run through next month. I'm thinking of doing my club on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. I had initially thought about doing it on Thursdays but so many people have things going on on Thursday nights, so Tuesdays it is. I'm not sure if I will do my run through on the 3rd Tuesday in June or if I will have one sooner. Let me know what you guys think. =) Ok. Well, I hope this is sufficient for you Holly. =) Have a fabulous week!

First party SUCCESS!

Well, my first 2 Stampin' Up! parties were a great success. Saturday morning, my mom invited some people to her house and I was able to present for the first time. Then on Sunday I had some girls over to my house to do it all again. I was very pleased with how well it all went. We had a lot of fun making the "make and take" projects and overall, I felt that I didn't stumble over my words too much. =) So, for any of you who are interested in having a party and getting free Stampin' Up! products, let me know! Through the end of this month only, you get an extra $25 in free Stampin' Up! products for hostessing a party. You can't beat that! (I just love free stuff!!!) Well, I hope that everyone has a fabulous week!... Until next time!

Crazy Kids!

So, once a month, I get a chance to go work with the children from the battered women's shelter here in Nashville. I really don't do a whole lot, I just go play with the kiddos while the mom's have their meetings. It's actually a lot of fun. Well, last Thursday night was an eventful night for me there. There are two of the cutest little boys that go there who are maybe a little over 1 year old. We were able to go outside, because the weather was so nice, which made the whole evening get off to a great start. Well, one of the little boys was playing in the sandbox with some of the other kids. After playing for a little while, he walked up to me with this horrible look on his face and was crunching... on sand. So, without even thinking, I stuck my finger in his mouth and started trying to get as much of the sand out as I could. No sooner than my finger went in, he bit down. I almost said a bad word right there on the church playground. ha ha. After that I just let him chew it up and tried to get him to spit as much of it out as I could. Later, the same little boy was running and he went into the little jungle gym. It's pretty short, so I stayed outside and let him look around for a second. All of a sudden, I hear him screaming... I ran into the jungle gym, which looks like a boat and he was crying. He ran into my arms and I held him for a second, then he was ready to go running again. I sat him down as his sister was coming in to check on him. She told me not to worry because he gets hurt all the time. About 2 minutes later, she came back up to me with him and said, "I think he may have gotten hurt a little bit more than we thought." I looked at him and he had blood dripping down his mouth. AHHHH! I picked him up and he threw his head into my chest. (blood all over my shirt) We went to the barthroom and got him all cleaned up. His lip just had a small place where he busted it. He was fine, but it still scared me. So, we went back outside, he went back to playing. I was walking around playing with differnt kids when one of the other helpers was carrying the other little boy who is about the same age. He was getting very sleepy. As soon as I walked up, he reached his hands out to come to me. I carried him and let him rest his head for a few minutes. Then, I felt it... My shirt was wet. I took him in and changed his diaper, but the damage had already been done. That night, I left with a hurt finger, blood on my shirt, and pee on my shirt. (Very good birthcontrol, might I add) I couldn't get in the shower fast enough when I got home.
Well, on Fridays as many of you know, I babysit a little boy named Lucas. He is the cutest thing ever! He is honestly one of the funniest kids I've ever come in contact with. Well, Friday morning started like most mornings with Lucas asking me, "Pay hockey wif you?"... He has been going to hockey games since he was a baby so he knows a lot more of what's going on than I do, and he's only 2. Well, he plays with a hockey stick and I play with a baseball bat and we just hit a little ball around on the floor and that's playing hockey. Friday morning, Lucas was standing up straight with the ball right next to him. I thought he was wanting to play, so I ran up and hit the ball away from him. He screamed and said, "Spar Spangle" HA HA HA HA! He wanted to sing the Star Spangled Banner before we played ball. He then proceeded to sing most all of the words to the entire song. (I say most because at some parts, he just makes up words, ha ha) After he sang very loudly, "and the hoooommmmmeeee offfff ddaaaaa baaaavvveeee" We were able to play ball! HOW CUTE IS THAT?!?!?!
Well, that's all for now. The Lucas story was too cute not to share. =)

Gettin' Started with Stampin' Up!

Well, I've done gone and done it! =) I am now a Stampin' Up demonstrator, and I must say I'm very excited about it. I have been doing Stampin' Up for about 5 years now and am just now finding out how cool it can be to have my hobby work for me. Anywho, Just thought I would let all of my readers (there are oh, so many~ ha!) know about April Specials. Now through April 30th if you host a party, you get extra hostess rewards. SOOOO, let me know if you would like to host a party. You can also check out the specials on www.stampinup.com. I can't wait to actually get my starter kit so that I can start booking parties, but if you would like to get ahead of the mad crowd that's going to be knocking my doors down to have a party, let me know and I'll get you down in the books first! =) Ok. That's all for today! Hope everyone is doing great! Have a great Monday!
